President Bola Tinubu says the Nigerian Army has operationalised new formations in Zamfara, Kebbi, Oyo, and Osun States to bring troops closer to vulnerable communities and strengthen rapid response to security threats.

The President in a post on his official X handle, @OfficialABAT, while highlighting measures by his administration to strengthen the operational capacity and welfare of the Armed Forces, said the Federal Government is fast-tracking the construction of new barracks and depots in Abuja, Ekiti, Ebonyi and Kogi States, while the facility in Osun has been completed.

He stressed that increasing the responsibilities of servicemen and women must be matched with greater support for them and their families, noting that military deployments also demand sacrifices from families of personnel.

President Tinubu therefore re-affirmed the Nigerian government’s commitment to standing behind military personnel and the families who support them while they serve the country.
